Sketches

I haven't been posting for a while. For the past few weeks I've been trying to meet deadlines and making sure all clients are wearing 4-heart lives (just like in Sally's Spa and Diner Dash). But i couldn't seem to please them all. Others had to leave because they can't wait and they're losing hearts on me. Oh well, there will be more costumers coming in soon while these sketcheshave nowhere to go.

A sketch i made while passing the time. I was thinking of music, rock, fame, booze, girls, sex, music, rock and more music.

This little bird here came out from nowhere. I thought of a humming bird at first, but no maybe some local bird. Experimenting..
While this little girl right here popped out like magic. Spontaneous. Selling hearts for a long lasting customer.

Spot the Freakin' Difference!

Yes i am vain. I love being the subject of the camera's attention. They call it narcissism but i just know that i love myself and i think i am beautiful (bahala ng uban tawo moingun nga feeling gwapa ko, they're just FAT and ugly). :p KAHIBAW KA KINSA KANG YAWAA KA!
*nuffsed*

Here is what i usuaLly do with my pic before i upload them online. They all go through the beautiful process of photoshop. hehe In there i can be my own maker of my prettier self. I can get rid of those unnecessary shadows, highlights, flabs and ugly marks.
I think the major issue in this photo is the mass of fats on my lower left neck that gave to much weight on my face. Had to get rid of it. Had to smothen that rough face too. Then highlights on the eyes. But im not too haapy with the dress (chest part), its dirty.

The Black Stone Production Logo

Black Stone Production is an events company here in Cebu City. I had an opportunity to design their logo and work with them for their maiden event, which is gonna be huge this December.

Here are the logo studies I presented to them. They wanted me to explore a bit on a goth direction. Cool. I also presented something "non-goth" and gave them something generic.

Below is the first choice. I thought they'd love it too since it has that goth feel on it. But they wanted me to change the bird with something different, like a cross or anything related to goth again. Apparently there's a movie tittle that looked like this. I had no idea which movie though.

Now here, i explored on the idea of putting the cross. Uhm, i dunno but i kinda did not like it. Did not even occur to me i was designing for a production company. It looked like a book tittle for some fantasy book. hehe

There was a change of mind. Finally they wanted to proceed with this one. The one with the bird. This was actually my second choice. They thought the first one looked too "funeral". Especially with the cross that looked so significant in the logo.
Watch out for the maiden production of Black Stone. :)

Untitled

You can never please everybody.
Some are bound to love you, some just loathe you.
Makes life worth living.

Busy with Guilt

I am so jammed up this week! No wait, this month and im sure next month too. There are so
many things that are needed to be done. My cork board is crowded with "things to do" and lists of deadlines while my iTouch is always snoozing.

Next month i should stop accepting sidelines, atleast just for september. I need to focus on a lot of personal works to prepare me for this event im planning. I wont say anything about it yet. Basta, not yet. hehe

Right now im just really tired and sleepy. The worst part is feeling guilty about it. :(

***
Here are some doodles i made this afternoon while i was in a three-hour meeting.

I was thinking of a one-word tittle for this something. I'm not too firm about this one but i like the flow. The word is just too cheezy.
This one on the other hand had to do with Cory A., that face i saw in Jude, about timeliness, ilong ranger and some other random stuff that came to mind while immersing myself to listen.
Respect was the word repeated one to many time at that meeting. As you can see, im taking down notes. hehehe

But now i need to sleep. Fuck guilt! Good night

I bought a new scanner today. FINALLY!!! i wont have to depend on the office scanner. weeeeeeeeeee!!! I'm genuinely happy and i can't contain it. hahahahaha!! Every single sketch i will make will go directly to this scanner. I can just imagine my rush!

Here goes some random page from my sketchbook. Just one page.

Mural Projects

This year, i seem to be getting a lot of mural projects. Not the traditional kind though, all in digital. Its been really fun and sometimes painful for my laptop. This usually eats up my drive C while I'm working in photoshop. Sometimes my PS would give up and say crappy stuff like LOW DISC SPACE. Which would go back to normal if i close the mural files. haaaayyyy but it's so much fun!

Here are the 4 mural projects i did this year. Oh wait, the first one was late last year.

BigMao restaurant, located at The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu

Salo-salo sa Chika-an restaurant, located at the second level SM City Cebu

Ola EspaÑa, located at The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu

Sagay restaurant mural, located at Sagay Negros Occidental

Just today somebody emailed me through coroflot that she wanted me to design a mural for only P200. No shit.

i still have a loooong way to go! :)

Sneak Peek on Hopeful Eyes

As promised, here is a sneak peek on the progress of my work. It's gonna take awhile for me to finish this, i know. I can only work on this during office hours when i'm idle. hehe then i have another version of this in photoshop too. which is also a home-project. and it's looking good too! :)

Street Konect

This old artwork along with 2 other old ones are featured by a new found friend on his site today. Well they are a group of local artists in Cebu city. I know them mainly as graffitti artists but streetkonect is not just street art, it's all varied and proud cebuano!

Thanks Flaime!

Hopeful Eyes

Here is a latest personal work i'm working on right now. i was thinking of painting it in photoshop but after several mind arguements i ended up rendering it in illustrator. It's a working progress as we speak. Sneak peek in a few days.

This girl is blinded by hope. Thinking of happy thoughts. Hearing beautiful music. Smelling fragrant flowers. Wearing nothing but hope against all the gray picture.
